Preschool Registration for the 2018-19 school year

On behalf of the Waugh Kids Care and Preschool Staff, we would like to welcome both you and your preschool child to our Wallabies or Wee Wallabies Program. We provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and develop social skills. Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2018 for the Wee Wallabies Program  or 4 years old by September 1, 2018 for the Wallabies Program.

We are excited to announce that we have a new attendance and billing system in place, called ProCare. It will generate a monthly bill and you will have access to your account through a parent portal which will show both attendance and accounting information. We plan to implement a credit card payment process through this new system in the coming months.

Please keep the Registration Packet as a helpful resource for many of the questions you may have regarding our program. Please complete and return the Registration Forms to either the Preschool Office or the School Office. Feel free to contact the Program Director if you have further questions, would like more information, or need assistance:

Quality Program Award

The Waugh Wallabies Preschool program participated in a comprehensive  Quality Rating and Improvement System review, conducted by First 5 Sonoma County and received a rating of Tier 5, the highest level possible to achieve.

The scoring included rating seven criteria areas: Child Observation, Developmental and Health Screening, Qualifications for Lead Teacher, Effective Teacher-Child Interactions (CLASS); Ratios and Groups Size, Program Environment Rating Scale and Director Qualifications. The Wallabies received 32 out of a possible 35 points.

The School Board recognized and congratulated the Waugh Wallabies Preschool staff at their November meeting for this significant achievement.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality learning environment that will help prepare 3 and 4 year old students for success in kindergarten. The Waugh Wallabies Program is both academic and developmental in nature, and is taught by certified early childhood development teachers.

During the preschool portion of the day, students will use standards based math and reading curriculum that connects to the curriculum used in the Waugh School District. Our primary goal is to serve students who are unable to afford preschool. Waugh Kids Care Daycare/Preschool is able to offer free and reduced care for eligible families thanks to funding through the California Department of Education. In addition, spaces are available for paying students.
