Sue Mowat

Welcome to 3rd Grade, "The Treehouse". My name is Sue Mowat.  I was born in Scotland and grew up in the coastal, golfing town of Troon.  When I was 16, I emigrated to South Africa,  where I completed my schooling, and attended Pretoria College of Education. I started teaching in 1988, specializing in lower grade education, special ed, and music. I married Len and our two boys, Nathan and Devon, were born in Johannesburg. In 1998, we emigrated to California and our boys started school at Corona Creek! Nathan is now a data scientist, and Devon is an aviation mechanic/technician. I'm a biker chick at heart and love to ride my motorcycle through the vineyards and along the coast. I also love to play the guitar, so music is a big part of learning in the "Treehouse". Teaching has always been my passion, and my goal is that every day should be an "I LOVE school" day, where kids explore, discover, and are not afraid of the unknown. In the words of Anthony J. D'Angelo, "Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow."
